Techwarrior Technologies wasn’t started by a venture-backed startup or a corporate chain. It was started by Roderick Rotzien — an Army veteran who spent his whole life fixing computers, moved back to Minnesota, and decided that people deserved better tech support than what was available. That was 2007. We’re still here. Still local. Still fixing things the right way.
to a Tech Empire
Roderick Rotzien has been taking computers apart — and putting them back together — since he was a kid in the early 1990s. By age 14, he’d built his own PC from parts. By the time he was in the Army, he was the guy everyone brought their computer to.
After his service, Roderick came back to Minnesota and went to work as a network administrator for a government contractor. But in 2007, when his best friend needed someone to take over a small computer repair shop in Richfield, Roderick saw an opportunity to build something of his own.
The original shop was a basic break-fix operation — mom and pop stuff. Roderick had bigger ideas. He changed the name to Techwarrior Technologies, started adding business services, data recovery, forensics, and managed IT support. The operation grew steadily, and in 2010 Techwarrior moved to its current home in Rockford, MN — where it became deeply rooted in the local community.
Over the next decade, Techwarrior expanded into web design, online marketing, and eventually launched two additional businesses: Ninja Managed — a flat-rate managed IT service for small businesses — and Minnesota Local Marketing, a free business directory built specifically for Minnesota companies.
Today, Techwarrior Technologies serves hundreds of residential and business clients across Wright County, Hennepin County, and beyond. Roderick has been quoted as a technology expert by Fox News and ABC, and the company has been featured in national tech publications including Website Planet, VoyageRaleigh, and Safety Detectives.
The mission has never changed: real solutions, honest pricing, and technology that actually works for you — not confusing jargon or quick fixes that come back to bite you.
Roderick assembles his first PC from parts at age 14, after years of tinkering with a Commodore 64 and XT systems. The troubleshooting instinct is born.
Serves in the U.S. Army where he becomes the go-to tech resource for fellow soldiers. Returns to Minnesota as a network administrator for a government contractor.
Roderick takes over a small computer repair shop in Richfield, MN, renames it Techwarrior Technologies, and begins expanding it from basic break-fix into full IT services.
Becomes an authorized service center for Datatech Labs. Builds custom data recovery equipment in-house. Begins working with fire restoration companies to recover data from disaster-damaged devices.
Techwarrior plants roots in Rockford on State Highway 55, becoming a cornerstone of the local Wright County tech community. Serves homes, businesses, churches, and schools across the region.
Launches Ninja Managed — flat-rate managed IT for small businesses. Gives local companies enterprise-grade IT support at a predictable monthly price, without the enterprise price tag.
Launches Minnesota Local Marketing — a free business directory built exclusively for Minnesota businesses. Helps local companies get found online, earn backlinks, and appear in AI search results.
Still locally owned, still in Rockford, still fixing things the right way. Serving 20+ communities across Wright, Hennepin, and Carver County with residential repair, business IT, and online marketing.
